The Cups sits at an interesting intersection. It's a Korean dessert café that takes matcha seriously both as a drink and as a dessert ingredient. The menu has range: bingsu, croffles, and a variety of matcha offerings that go beyond the standard latte.
The cup
The matcha drinks here are well-made: vibrant in colour, properly bitter, and not drowned in sweetness. But the real reason to come is how matcha shows up across the menu. The matcha desserts use the same quality powder as the drinks, which means the flavour is consistent and recognisable whether you're sipping or eating.
One of the few spots where the matcha in the dessert is as good as the matcha in the cup.
Worth knowing
Come with an appetite. Ordering just a drink here feels like leaving half the menu unexplored. The croffles and bingsu are highlights and pair well with the matcha. Good for a longer sit with company.
A strong addition to the GTA matcha map and one of the better spots for matcha as a full dessert experience rather than just a drink.
